What B Corp certification means in practice
B Corp certification assesses performance across five areas: governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. It looks for evidence that a company runs on clear policies, protects workers, engages responsibly with suppliers and communities, manages environmental impacts, and delivers value to customers in a way that builds trust.
To achieve certification, companies must undergo the B Impact Assessment, a rigorous review that scores business practices and requires evidence of accountability, transparency and continuous improvement. Only companies that score above 80 points out of 200 receive certification.
