Product Manager
Who you are
We are looking for talented product managers to work on the squads of our core product offering, which involves various revenue streams such as our SaaS platform, Lite platform, individual APIs, and Data as a Service. Earthscan is the company’s primary product which assesses our clients’ asset portfolios against hazard intensity metrics to derive user-specific analytics, such as ratings, indices, and financial impact metrics.
This area of the product is technically challenging and requires a strong understanding of how our users derive value from our product as well as the technical complexity of the problem at hand. The ideal candidate for this job would be expected to have a climate science background or first experiences in this field, have a keen understanding of our markets, and drive commercial and technical contributions within our Product strategy & roadmap.
Depending on your squad, your responsibilities may include developments and products that are contributing to hazard metrics and scientific developments or building sector-specific insights on top of the climate hazards’ intensity. We count on you to support the Product Lead and Science Lead to deliver product developments with your squad, covering operational needs, resource alignment, meeting deadlines, ensuring the team works efficiently together.
Your impact
Product Management
- Develop and implement a scalable product roadmap for Hazards/Insights against the product strategy and business objectives, in close coordination with the Product Lead Define and prioritise product requirements, development priorities, product capabilities and features.
- Coordinate with the Product Lead to ensure resources and workplans are aligned to deliver developments on time.
- Organize the associated hazard-linked agile ceremonies related to product developments and attending meetings related to project work packages.
- Responsible for the oversight and reporting of the product development cycle, deliverables, and outputs against the product development roadmap.
- Report any issues, forecasted challenges or delays from a technical or people perspective with regards to the product and client deliverables to the Product Lead.
Customer Focus
- Contribute to the product discovery process to ensure our impact analytics stay relevant and valuable to our users.
- Develop a deep understanding of our product’s users, their problems and their needs, through user interviews, feedback, and collaboration with our commercial team.
- Directly collaborate with other Product Managers and Scientific Owners to ensure integration & market alignment and ensure scalable & market driven solutions.
- Identify key areas for improvement and track KPI progress against company objectives.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to identify value, minimise risks, and cross-team dependencies.
- Work closely with business teams and product leadership to identify and contribute to scalable pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering, science and design teams to deliver user value reliably, within budget.
- Deliver monthly progress reports to the business teams.
- Coordinate between the different teams (e.g. science, tech, product, commercial, etc).
Requirements
- Degree in Analytics, Computer and Information Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, or in Environmental Engineering, Climate Science and related fields
- 3+ years of experience in product management, of which at least 1 year in a climate related product or solution
- Demonstrating proven experience in managing products and client delivery projects
- Proficiency in product analytics and performance metrics
- Creating and managing product roadmaps
- Managing multidisciplinary product teams
