Head of Sales

Role overview

We’re looking for a player-coach sales leader who will personally close strategic enterprise deals while leading a small team of Account Executives. You thrive selling to highly technical buyers and can translate deep tech into clear business and operational value. You are comfortable engaging engineers, grid operators, risk teams, and executive stakeholders such as CTOs, CIOs, CROs, Heads of Asset Management, and infrastructure investors.

If you’ve sold complex, technical, infrastructure‑scale products, especially in energy, grid, climate tech, or critical infrastructure, we’d like to meet you.

This is a role for someone who understands that:

  • The buyer might be a PhD in power systems or a grid operator with many years of field experience.
  • The sales cycle can be political and multi‑layered.
  • The product is not just “explained” but understood, with focus on the ROI translation.
  • Earning credibility is as important as pitching.

We need a sales leader who can earn trust in the first conversation and command a room full of technical experts without overselling.



What you'll do

  • Develop, refine, and execute a comprehensive GTM strategy for the infrastructure and energy sectors, including assessing market dynamics, defining customer segments, shaping differentiated messaging, and prioritizing high‑impact commercial plays.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to other sales motions by providing guidance and frameworks for low‑touch or scaled GTM approaches, enabling broader seller teams to drive consistent pipeline generation and expansion.
  • Prioritize verticals based on your market insight and domain knowledge, with particular emphasis on infrastructure
  • Nurture sales cycles processes involving operators, risk teams, engineering leads, and strategic advisors.
  • Understand technical constraints well enough to negotiate requirements, not just contracts.
  • Translate deeply technical concepts into compelling value that impact their bottom line.
  • Act as coach seller to the rest of the account executives.
  • Set realistic forecasts based on complexity and maintain a healthy pipeline velocity.
  • Deconstruct customer requirements and articulate why they matter.

What you'll bring

This is what we’re genuinely looking for:

  • Proven track record of closing complex, technically rigorous solutions in enterprise or infrastructure markets.
  • Strong experience in the infrastructure sector, such as:
    • Energy (generation, transmission, distribution, storage)
    • Utilities
    • Critical systems
    • Data centers
    • Telcos
    • Construction
  • Ability to speak fluently and credibly with highly technical stakeholders: engineers,
  • Proven ability to structure and close large multi‑stakeholder deals with technical, commercial, procurement, and policy dimensions.
  • Bravery to find adaptive solutions instead of trying to fit square pegs into round holes.
  • Comfort with ambiguity. This is not just a pretty sentence. It’s a must.
  • Ideally this role would be based in Madrid and fluent in Spanish & English (a third language is a plus), but if that’s the only criterion you don’t meet, apply anyway.
  • Last but not least, the ideal candidate brings an entrepreneurial grit, and a strong bias for action. To reiteirate: this is a doer’s role: perfect for someone who rolls up their sleeves, operates in the trenches, and thrives without predefined processes or playbooks
